Your "Hired!"

Welcome to our brand new information hub, "Hired!". And before you correct our grammar, we did it on purpose to let you know this is "your" exclusive insight into the most cutting-edge tips, best practices, and information to help you take the next step in your career.
Are you an Imposter?

Do you ever feel like a "wannabe" in your job? You're not alone! Countless successful, highly competent employees feel like they've fooled others into thinking they're smarter and more capable than they are. The phenomenon is so common, it even has a name: The Imposter Complex. Find out what it is--and what you can do about it.
Interviewing Tip of the Month
Boost your Confidence and Fight the Imposter Complex!

Before you interview for your dream job, figure out what triggers your fraud feelings. For example, are there parts of the job that you don't think you're qualified for?

Relax. Recruiters don't expect you to know it all! Before you head into the interview, identify your skills or experience gap. Create a list of suggestions for how you could quickly close the gap once you're hired (think on-the-job training, mentoring, independent study). The interviewer will be impressed with your forethought, and you'll feel more prepared, competent and authentic.

Do you wear your heart on your sleeve? People in the Middle Ages did--literally! Back then, young men and women drew names from a bowl to see who would be their valentine. They would wear this name pinned onto their sleeves for one week for everyone to see. This is how the expression "to wear your heart on your sleeve" originated.
