It goes without saying that you should head into an interview knowing a 
potential employer’s size, location, history and lines of business. If you 
want to distinguish yourself, however, you should also know the employer’s strong suits:  

  1. Check the website: Look for the company's mission, values or unique traits in the "About Us" section.  

  2. Spot what stands out: Identify what sets them apart from competitors—e.g., sustainability, innovation or community impact.  

  3. Focus on specifics: Use your research to articulate why the company is special during the interview.
